SEMRush posted a screen shot of Google showing a query expansion feature, like the people also ask feature, for video carousels. It is titled “related videos” and shows you different queries you can try in Google to show more related videos in the Google search results.

Google My Business Insights Data Latency Not Being Speed Up Now

A week or so ago, Google told us that they released an update to Google My Business Insights that would result in us getting improvements in terms of how soon we see fresh data from the analytics tools. Google Local Service Ad Design Slightly Updated

Google has made a design change to the way the local service ads appear in the mobile search results. They are a bit more slick now, with a more 3D look, lighter blue links, yellow stars instead of orange stars, circle green checks versus badges and a bit more.

Google Search Showing Fewer Image Boxes; 25% Drop

RankRanger noticed that not only are the video boxes dropping out of the search results, but also the image boxes. In fact, they noticed a 25% reduction in the number of times the image box shows up for their dataset in Google.

Google Does Not Index Redirected Pages

This is probably obvious to most of you but Google’s John Mueller said on Twitter that Google does not index redirects. Meaning, if you redirect page A to page B, any content that might be on page A is not indexed, instead GoogleBot just does a hop, skip and a jump over from page A to page B.
